Dissertation Jürg Altwegg
Jürg Altwegg successfully finished his PhD dissertation on "Entscheidungsunterstützungssystem für eine nachhaltige Bauzonenausweisung".
He developed the spatial decision support system PALM, which optimizes the allocation and dimension of existing building zone reserves considering ecological, economic and social ecosystem services. PALM allows to analyze possible urbanization patterns in an iterative process and facilitates the cooperation of different stakeholders.
