Participative Planning

Active informing and participation of the public is widely acknowledged as promoter of greater acceptance of adapted decisions supporting the implementation of spatial development actions. An important prerequisite for a negotiation process to be accepted by all participants is a common information base with images, projects and models. Applying the new visualization and modeling techniques will enhance communication, participation and environmental education.

The new instruments of our Lab are applied in real participative planning situations accompanied with scientific research in order to prove, validate and further specify the intermediate principles and quality criteria that are the basis for professional tutorials and training material.
