Modelling grassland management intensity and biodiversity
A new study investigates the effects of grassland management intensity on biodiversity and develops an intensification index which is projected on the landscape.
The resulting maps help to prioritize farmland areas for conservation planning and highlight the importance of traditionally managed semi-extensive grasslands for grasshoppers and linked insectivorous animals.
